A HEART OF WORSHIP

A HEART OF WORSHIP

Tewogbade M. Abegunde

Joyful, Joyful, we adore thee
God of glory, Lord of Love,
Hearts unfold like flowers before thee,
Opening to the sun above
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness
Drive the dark of doubt away,
Giver of immortal gladness
Fill us with the light of day

Joyfully you are welcome to a new week this beautiful Sunday, as you joyfully seek God today may you experience a genuine encounter like never before in Jesus name.

Beloved, don’t be deceived music is not the only means through which you can worship God. Yes, it is the most common means that we are used to. I want you to know or rather remind you that worship is a lifestyle and God is expecting you to worship Him in all that you do (thought, speech, dressing etc.). Rick Warren in Purpose Driven Life said worship is all that you do, that gives God pleasure. A heart of worship is one that seeks to please God in everything. As you prepare for worship service this morning, purpose in your heart to worship God alone. Kindly avoid pleasing others, dressing to impress or doing things that improves your self-image but rather seek to glorify God in everything. Moreover, a heart of worship offers worship to God beyond the walls of sanctuary, in the office, in class, on the site, in the market place the consciousness of God’s presence is evident.

A heart of worship is joyful always. The benefits of cultivating a heart of worship is evident in those practicing it, the scripture says a merry heart brings healing to the body, a heart of worship is free of sickness (Proverbs 17:22).

May your sacrifice of praise and heart of worship be acceptable to God as you offer Him through worship today in Jesus name Amen.
