ARISE OH COMPATRIOTS

Whenever you remember this nation, what comes to your mind? Corruption, Bribery, Thievery and so many vices? Does Hope ever come to your mind? When last did you pray for Nigeria? When last did you pray for our Leaders? When last did you pray for your neighbor? Must be a long time ago! I’m as guilty as you are. 

But today, I am taking a stand to never allow Nigeria command my destiny. Instead, I command the destiny of this nation because Jesus commands my destiny. 

Today, I choose to belong to the new Creed that will oppose the Greed that has eaten deep into the society. 

Today, I choose to speak life into our nation. 

Today, I stand on the side of Truth. 

Today, I choose to speak Life over Nigeria. I refuse to join people to discuss how bad Nigeria is. 

Starting from today, I refuse to badmouth my Leaders when I have not prayed for them. 

Today, I refuse to believe that my nation can change automatically without me changing first. 

Today, I choose to join other Youths like me that have an unending and undying passion to build this nation on the right foundations. 

Today, I choose to pray (not sing) with all the energy that I have that:

Oh God of Creation,

Direct our noble cause

Guide our leaders right

Help our youth the truth to know

In Love and Honesty to grow

And living  just and truth

Great lofty heights attain

To build a nation where peace

 and justice shall reign.

My future is not far, My future is now.

Nigeria, it is well with you. The Shalom of Jehovah rest upon you. Whatever has not made you shine as you should is destroyed in Jesus name. Nigeria, you are blessed.
