WHY EXCELLENCE? (Part 1)

WHY EXCELLENCE? (Part 1)
Adesina Abegunde

Hello friends, a beautiful day to you in Jesus name.

I pray for you that you will not be a victim of someone’s mistake or shoddy job in Jesus name.
That prayer is needed because not everybody do their duties with excellence. Imagine how many people have been stranded on the road or even missed appointments, just because a transport worker won’t do his best to put the vehicle in a good condition. Imagine how many accidents were caused because the best was not done in putting the road in good condition.

Imagine how many lives have been lost because our hospitals are not in excellent conditions. Imagine the quality of graduates that exist today just because they did not do their best to become their best. Imagine how many frustrated CEOs, grounded businesses and abandoned ideas there are today, because several employeesbring less-than-excellence attitude into the workplace. Many employees only put their minds on the expected income and not excellence, excellence is the quality of what proceed from a person delivering a job or rendering a service.

Has somebody been called HIV positive who was not? Yes, I have seen one before. It was either the HIV test kit was not excellent or the medical laboratory scientist was not. Imagine the trauma of that moment running to days before two more confirmatory tests were done.

Sometimes ago in Nigeria, there was a case of some people alighting from an aircraft with an ordinary ladder just because some people somewhere were not excellent at their jobs; excellent enough to have fixed the needed equipment, knowing that some peoples’ lives depend on it. Could some of the plane crashes have been prevented if someone would just be excellent enough? May be.
The point I am making is that every time someone is not excellent at his job, some things and or some lives are at risk.

Lack of excellence always damage something, the damage here can be defined as making something bad to happen or preventing something good, great and glorious from happening. Either way, damages become inevitable where the best is not being given to any assignment. Note that the damage can also be self-inflicted damages, risking your life, career and hindering your own fulfillment in life.

PREVENTING DAMAGES is one of the reasons why you need to be excellent. Your church may lose members and God won’t be happy if you are not excellent. Your company may lose a great business deal if you are not excellent. Your business will lose reputation if you are not excellent. Your clients may lose lives and properties if you do a shoddy job. Your fulfillment, promotion and career progress may be jeopardized without excellence. As a leader your team won’t reach the peak of their potentials if you are not excellent. Whatever you do, think of what is at stake if you won’t be excellent at your duty.

I pray for you again, you will not be a victim of someone’s error in Jesus name.
Because you are going to be excellent, you will not be responsible for any damage in Jesus name.
You will excel. Everything you touch in your office, work, home, school and everywhere from now will show forth excellence.
You will experience strange rising and shining in Jesus name.
Kings will come to your rising.
Next week Tuesday I will continue this post, and I know by then you will have a testimony.
You are blessed.
