DEALING WITH THE CURRENT ECONOMIC CRISIS

DEALING WITH THE CURRENT ECONOMIC CRISIS
It is a beautiful morning! The first quarter of 2017 is gradually folding up. Hope you’re excited? 2017 will be beautiful for you in Jesus name. Today, we will be studying together 1kings 17,18 using the life of Elijah as a case study. Be blessed!
In 1Kings 17, due to the sins of Ahab, Jezebel and the entire nation, God through Elijah pronounced famine on the land (vs1). Immediately God declared famine through Elijah, God made adequate provision for Elijah and the other 7,000 people who have never bowed down to Baal. Let us check out the following and learn some lessons from them;
      1.    In vs 2,3,4,5 Elijah received divine direction. It is very important to receive direction from God in the time of Famine. It is not only enough to receive direction, Obedience is Key. Elijah willingly obeyed fully.
      2.      In vs4,6 Drinking from the brook still looks sensible, but to be fed by Ravens is strange (they are greedy birds which rarely remain any flesh). God sometimes brings unusual provisions through an unlikely agent.It does not matter the nature of any being, when God speaks, they obey. Don’t shut your mind against anyone or any source. vs7 the brook got dried and the Ravens stooped coming too. But God spoke again in vs 8.
      3.      vs8,9 God kept speaking, Elijah kept hearing. Elijah's survival was tied to his ability to hear God's voice. How well are you hearing God?
From the above, one can see a very important Christian privilege that Elijah have developed before the famine and that was what really helped him. It simply the ability of HEARING GOD and OBEYING HIM;they are very important abilities in our journey with God. Do you know how to hear God? How much are you hearing God? How well do you obey His commands?
Jesus said I know my sheep and my sheep hears my voice, hearing God’s voice is the greatest privilege and advantage that believers can harness to be ahead in a time like this. Common sense will bring common failure, only divine sense which I believe is prophetic intelligence will give outstanding breakthrough in famine. Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Ruth all manifested that prophetic intelligence, by taking bold uncommon steps as they feel led by God.
Other things to consider here are; how many days, weeks, or months did he spend at the brook? Where was he sleeping? Did he have to make a hut for himself? Did he have to take any responsibility for his shelter or accommodation? The Bible did not say anything about his accommodation. So, I believe that God expected him to take responsibility for that, following God is not a lazy life, it is hard word. A lazy man cannot walk with God.
It is well with you in Jesus name. The Lord will be your shield, your glory and the lifter up of your head in Jesus name.
In this tough time, you will break forth, you will not see shame. God bless you in Jesus name.
Shalom
