WEDDING
GIST
A Wonderful Morning to you all!
Saturdays are for Weddings. Hope you have one to
attend today?
People are getting married as usual. That means that
right now, a lot of people are already preparing to go for weddings, pressing
their “Aso-ebi” already, getting set to celebrate with the couple-to-be. The
things people do to make an impression (that might not even last) on a day like
this is no longer surprising.
Few weeks ago
on Twitter, someone wrote about having a #40,000 budget for a Wedding and the
responses that followed ehn? God have mercy. I told my Friends about it and
they literally lynched me (LOL). I’m not here to tell you to spend #40,000 on
your wedding, but I’m here to tell you that instead of lavishing all your
life’s savings or income on a day or two days celebration, why don’t you invest
in your “marriage”.
So, to those of you planning to get married very
soon and you’re planning a Grand wedding, not because you can afford it but
because you want to outdo someone else’s wedding, you want to wear 5 clothes
for your traditional wedding, ride a white horse and wear a Glass shoe like the
Cinderella you’re not, continue ehn. Your Honeymoon will be disrupted when the
people you owe won’t leave you alone. They will take the Honey out of your
Honeymoon leaving you with moon. And then you will spend the first 6 months
offsetting debts.
Friends of the couple who borrow money and do things
that my mouth won’t say just to buy aso-ebi and to-match, 3 Gbosa for you ehn.
You better be wise and stop impressing people who won’t be impressed. Wear what
you have (dress well though) and sincerely celebrate with the couple.
Last but not the least, all the invited and
uninvited guests who eat party food and still complain about it, you didn’t
give the couple gift neither did you pray for them. You only went to eat party
rice, look and complain about the party, well ehn I have nothing else to say to
you than this………. Continue.
I pray for
you that as this week runs to an end, your life will not be cut short in Jesus
name. On the day of your joy, you will not be missing in Jesus name.
I hope you
enjoyed today’s Weekend Gist. Drop your comments in the comments box below.
Have a Beautiful weekend.
