Live with a Focus
Hebrews 11:27 (AMP)
27 By an act of faith, he turned his heel on Egypt, indifferent to the king's blind rage. He had his eye on the One no eye can see, and kept right on going.

Amazing progress is yours this week, unusual help will locate you in Jesus name.
Real leaders live their lives with a great focus. No focus no future!

Focus is a priceless virtue that every great leaders possess. There are always distractions in the path of destiny, too many things seek the leader’s attention and what you give attention will give you direction. David Ibiyeomie defined distraction as “side-attractions that put a person in detention.”
Last week, I said that real leaders are seekers of a better tomorrow for the cause they lead. Once a leader can see on the inside the future, the leader must keep a firm focus on the glorious future and allow nothing to distract or detract him or her from reaching there. Distractions with mundane things must be identified and dealt with appropriately.

Focus, according to dictionary, is a central point, as of attraction, attention, or activity. Focus is that which a leader concentrate upon, paying rapt undivided attention on a specific goal or task until it is achieved. Focusing and refocusing is a duty a real leader must not joke with or take with levity.
The following are few tips on how to live with a focus;

     1.      Clarity: there cannot be focus when there is no clarity of a particular goal. What is to be focused on must first of all be clear to the individual seeking focus in life. What exactly is your vision, goal or purpose that needs focus?

    2.      Concentration: once the vision is clearly spelt out, concentration is needed. All energy must be harnessed to give attention to that one thing until it is achieved.

     3.      Consistency: the leader must keep going regardless of the ups and downs. If a person does not live with consistency, then such will be at the mercy of circumstances.

     4.      Commitment: there is such an excitement or emotional thrill that comes at the beginning of every idea, but that emotion vanish gradually. So, commitment is doing what you plan to do even when you don’t feel like doing it again. There is always the starting, staying and finishing power required to run pursue every vision. Starting power most times are generated emotionally but staying power requires more than the emotion that began it.

    5.      Cancelation: every distraction, no matter how good it seems, must be identified and canceled. Canceling distractions will help you focus on the main goal. It is the ability of a leader to say NO.

     6.      Confirmation: since there is clarity of the end goal. The leader must be able to know or confirm what has been seen in his spirit when it is eventually achieved physically. The milestones or major progress must also be confirmed in order to keep the team fired up.

Real leaders are focused. Are you focused?They keep their eyes on a goal and a glory. What are you keeping your eyes on?

Many keep their eyes on mundane things. You are to live a life of enduring vision and undeterred focus on the glory like Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). So seek to know and set your eyes on eternity with Jesus, your eternal purpose here on earth, your dreams and vision.
