DOUBLE “H” WAR: Holiness vs Hormone (Part 8)
Living right, feeling right

Dealing with Sexual Temptation (2)
Hello Beloved, I believe you are having a great week already by the grace of God.
I hope this series have been of tremendous help to you in overcoming sexual temptations. I will like to hear you testimonies by sharing it in the comment box at the beneath this page or you can reach me personally on the contact page.

I am currently discussing on how you can practically overcome sexual temptations and live a pure, clean and holy life. In the last post, I said that until you take responsibility for your life and the sins you commit you cannot be free from it. Stop playing the blame game as shifting your sin on some else, because God won’t free you by shifting blame, but only by acknowledging it and asking for forgiveness of sin through the Blood of Jesus name.

14 Temptation is the pull of man's own evil thoughts and wishes. 15 These evil thoughts lead to evil actions and afterwards to the death penalty from God. 16 So don't be misled, dear brothers” (James 1: 14-15 tlb).
Verses 14 and 15, using The Living Bible version can be pictured as below;
Evil thoughts or wishes + Evil opportunity = Evil action

Evil thoughts and lustful wishes for pleasure, sex and many other things lurk in your hearts even after you were born again. Remember that your spirit is born again, your mind/heart is to be continually renewed according to Romans 12:2 and your body will be born again at the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Sexual sin does not begin with the seductive person orseductive things around you; it begins in your heart. It is what goes on in your heart before and during the temptation that really count.

For your meditation today, and for the assignment I will like you to do for the next one week, can you search your heart? What goes on in your heart when you see anything that suggest sex? How do you feel or rather what is your response to it?

If your heart is filled with evil thoughts, pictures and music that have already programmed you to sin, you will lack the strength to say “no” when evil opportunity present itself to you.
I want you to pray the prayer of the Psalmist

Psalms 139:23-24 (NIV)
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Make sure you guard you heart this week and the rest of your life. Watch what you think and repent immediately of anything that you know is sinful as you thin it. Every action begins with a thought. The wise will repent when the thought is done, but the otherwise (foolish) will not repent until the deed is done. Be wise!

As you go this week, God will honour you and beautify you in Jesus name.
You will not mess up your destiny on Jesus name.
Every trap from the pit of hell against you will catch fire in Jesus name.
Keep living right and feeling right.

God bless you.
