WHY EXCELLENCE (Part 2)

It
is another Tuesday and I just thank God you are here, I believe you are putting
your best into everything that you have been doing since last week. Remember
from our last discussion, that whenever anyone is not doing his or her best,
then something is at stake, there is a risk somewhere the person is taking, and
sometimes the consequences could be so grievous as to having eternal
implications.
In
this post, I want to discuss another reason why as children of God we need to
be excellent. And you will find the reason right in the very first and second chapter
of the first book of our life’s manual, the Bible.
Genesis 1:26-27 (AMP)
26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.
27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.

19 So God formed from the dirt of the ground all the animals of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the Man to see what he would name them. Whatever the Man called each living creature, that was its name.

From the above
scriptures,
1. God created us to be exactly like Him, to do things
exactly as He would do them (1:26-27) and of course whatever comes from God
would be excellent (excel = ex (out) –El (God))
2. Adam, before sin, manifested this divine agenda of
excellence as he named all the animals without a need for correction at the
end, God didn’t have to correct anything (2:19).
The
Zoe life that God offers us in Creation and re-offered us in Redemption through
Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour, is infused with excellence. We are to do
nothing but only that which is honourable, God-glorifying and praiseworthy.
We
are only to do that which can make men say “Only God could have done this”,
everything we do should come out of God-life (ex-El) in us. This will gradually
be our reality as we understand it, believe it and make conscious efforts to
seek God’s face in all that we do. God has wired us only to do excellent things
and we are capable regardless of our background, colour or race. We have all it
takes to be excellent once we choose to be.
The
pages of the bible is full of both Old and New Testaments Saints that did
various excellent feats, God want you to lead a life of excellence patterned
after these Saints. The history of the church and in fact, of the world itself
lend themselves to various outstanding feats that anyone knows that only the
God-nature in man could have done those things. Now, whether those things are
done be Christians or not, the point is that one could see a touch of the
Divine in the products of human brain.
As
you continue your work this week, dare to be excellent. Pray to God for
guidance even in the smallest routine task you do every day.
Receive
divine inspirations for excellent performances in Jesus name.
I
destroy every lie of the devil manipulating your destiny for inferior lifestyle
in Jesus name.
I
call forth your brain children that will impact the world in Jesus name.
You
will be known for excellence everywhere you go in Jesus name.
