Last
week in the first part of Think Big and Start Small, I told you that God is a
big thinker and that although God can do big things that are beyond us, our
thoughts can limit him. I hope you were able to think big thoughts between that
time and now, and hope you wrote them down. Don’t forget that this series is
Think Big and Start Small. Don’t just Think Big, Start Something
So,
today I’m going to be sharing with you the reasons why people think Small, why
their life goals look small even though they are capable of doing great things.
Below
are the following reasons why people think small:
1. Selfishness/self-
centered thinking kills.
When
all your thoughts centers on you, you can never think big and beyond you. When
you think Big, it’s never just about you. When you begin to think big, God
opens your thoughts to all he can use you to accomplish for him.
2. Fear
of failure (Atychiphobia)
Many
of us have experienced this at one time or the other. Fear of Failure is
immobilizing which causes you to do nothing. Fear of Failure will not allow you
to venture into anything because the first thing that will come to your mind is
Failure about something you’ve not even tried out.
3. Lack
of confidence.
This
is distrust in yourself that you can do anything meaningful. Lack of Confidence
makes you think small because it makes you believe that you can’t achieve
anything.
4. Lack
of imagination and exposure.
Imagination
is the creative ability to form images, ideas and sensations in the mind
without direct input from the senses .Exposure is defined as an act of
subjecting or an instance of being subjected to an action or an influence.
Exposure can mean Revelation. Imagination and Exposure are very important
ingredients because they open your eyes to all the possibilities that can
happen through you.
5. Lack
of inspiration.
Inspiration
is any force or influence that makes someone want to do something
or anything creative. According to Physics, Force can cause an object with mass
to change its velocity which includes to begin moving from a state of Rest. When an Individual lacks this Force,
nothing is going to move in his/her life.
Next
week, I will continue with you on the reasons why people think small and also
How to think big.
I
pray for you that even as you continue in this week, God will begin to bring to
your Spirit Thoughts that are bigger than you that only He can achieve through
you in this life. I also pray for you that every veil that has covered your
eyes making you see little or nothing about all that God wants to do through you
be removed in Jesus name.
Enjoy
your day!
