YOU EITHER RESERVE OR STARVE (Part 1)

Hello friends, how are you doing? Thanks to God for His sustenance and grace despite the appallingly situation of the national and global economy. My sincere prayer for us is that we shall all be alive to see the moment of plenty in Jesus name.

There is no doubt we are in a time of famine. I define famine as a period of extreme scarcity of basic needs. A time when people are ready to do anything to survive, exchanging their heritage and future to gratify the needs of the moment. You only need to do a content analysis of our dailies or news to agree with me. A moment of scarcity is bound to come, but God does not want us to starve to death.

So, if I may ask you, what exactly is the problem with famine? Is it scarcity? No, it is not! Below are what I think are the problems;
     1.      Lack of insight, revelation and important information.
     2.      Low or no traction for money flow.
     3.      Low or no savings or reserve.
I will discuss the first point in this post and others in two more posts, for the sake of easy assimilation.

LACK OF INSIGHT, REVELATION, and IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
The truth is that quite a number of intelligent and sensitive people saw this famine coming, famine don't set in suddenly except maybe in a time of unforeseen war; there are always indicators and trends. A friend told me of a company whose CEO saw the dollar rise ahead of time and then switched all their means of exchange to dollar, thereby making the proposed profit of several years in less than one year. I was speaking with the CEO of Amazing World (Nigeria), in person of Mrs Olabisi Abiri, and she told me of how God revealed to her such a difficult time ahead and how she strategically planned in order to cope with business. These two people saw it coming and prepared for it, not just to survive but to even make significant progress.

A biblical example that readily comes to mind is the story of Joseph and Pharaoh in Genesis 41:1-57. Pharaoh modeled correct leadership in this passage, he dreamt, identified a challenge, sought solution, and secured enough to delegate authority to another person just to prevent the doom about to cone on his people in seven years’ time. He cared about what is important but not urgent and that saved the world at the time.
Leadership is about dreaming the future and getting to work. He saw fourteen years ahead, seen of plenty and seven of famine.
What if Pharaoh didn't dream?
What if Joseph could not interpret?

Our ability to cope with famine depends on our ability to see ahead and to also prepare for it. Pharaoh and Joseph were not caught up in paralysis of analysis, but they moved swiftly to action. Joseph interpreted and gave solution straight in v.33, and from v.37f Pharaoh gave order to begin to work.

Through financial intelligence, and prophetic intelligence we can know ahead and begin to prepare by saving. We must reserve or we starve.

May the LORD send you help from above in Jesus name.
Every good thing that you are starving from shall be released to you in abundance in Jesus name.
Your need shall be met supernaturally in Jesus name.
God bless you.

From God to you through me,
Adesina Abegunde.
