THE CAR 6: THE DASHBOARD

THE CAR 6: THE DASHBOARD
Adesina Abegunde

Hi friends, lovely weekend to you in Jesus name.

I hope you are finding the lessons from the car, interesting and insightful? We still have something to learn today and it is from the dashboard of a car.

I have been a victim of the mess that comes from ignoring the message of the dashboard before (That is the confession of a preacher, lol ).I drove my mentor’s car, not looking at the temperature gauge until it passed the red indicator. You can guess what followed. The car stopped working, I was forced to park, but God was merciful, it started working again after putting water and there was no single damage.

What is the dashboard? According to the stuffs I gather online, a dashboard is a control panel that is placed in front of the driver of any vehicle, containing the instrumentations and control for operation of the vehicle. Originally in horse-drawn and later horseless carriages, the essence of the dashboard is to prevent riders from debris thrown up from messing up their bodies. Now in the century, it houses the gauges such as temperature, oil pressure, speedometer, distance traveled, tyre pressure and telltales such as turn indicators, gearshift position, seat belt warning light, and some now have screen to see what is behind while reversing. In a nut shell, the dashboard contains both information to be noted and functions to be used.
Now the lesson.

Just as the dashboard simply tell you the conditions of your car, so also God want us to be fully aware of the conditions of our lives. Driving without giving attention to the dashboard will make you grounded and stranded in the nearest future.

To despise the dashboard is to despise the future. Some people’s dashboards are not working again, while some don’t even give attention to the dashboard. Some fuel gauges will show full tank, when it actually empty tank or vice versa.

If you heed the message of the dashboard, you will not be in a mess. It you trust your functional dashboard you will not be in trouble. Everyone who is not aware of his or her own life’s conditions will soon be in trouble.

ARE YOU AWARE OF THE CONDITIONS OF YOUR LIFE NOW? Or you are just living life anyhow? Are you aware of your medical health, spiritual health, emotional health, family health and so on? GOD WANT YOU TO BE AWARE OF YOUR LIFE’S CONDITIONS.
Meditate on the following verses:
2 Corinthians 13:5 (MSG)
5 Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don't drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it.
Revelation 3:1-2 (MSG)
1 Write this to Sardis, to the Angel of the church. The One holding the Seven Spirits of God in one hand, a firm grip on the Seven Stars with the other, speaks: "I see right through your work. You have a reputation for vigor and zest, but you're dead, stone dead.
2 "Up on your feet! Take a deep breath! Maybe there's life in you yet. But I wouldn't know it by looking at your busywork; nothing of God's work has been completed. Your condition is desperate.
Isaiah 6:5 (TEV)
5 I said, "There is no hope for me! I am doomed because every word that passes my lips is sinful, and I live among a people whose every word is sinful. And yet, with my own eyes I have seen the King, the Lord Almighty."
There are things God make us to see or hear that reveals our conditions to us. Have a quality thinking time and quite time to check your dashboard such the Scriptures, convictions of the Holy Spirit, warnings from people you respect, results of your efforts, situations in your family, weaknesses or signs from your body and so on.

Receive grace to give yourself regular checkups in all areas of your life in Jesus name.
May you discover you true condition that will make you recover in Jesus name.
Your life, family and work are all changing for good in Jesus name.
God bless you.
Remember to share your testimonies, comment, insights and question if you have any.

Enjoy your weekend.
