Ask
Questions and Seek Answers
Hebrews
11:26 (AMP)
26
He valued
suffering in the Messiah's camp far greater than Egyptian wealth because he was
looking ahead, anticipating the payoff.
Real leader are
seekers. Seekers of answers to peoples’ or organizational plights. Real
leadership as Bill Hybels will define leadership is “taking people from here to
there.” Real leaders know that there is always a THERE better than HERE, so
they seek it eagerly and do everything needed in the right direction to take
people there. A very good way to see a better future is to ask questions about
the present conditions, real leaders raise good questions and seek answers, not
minding what it takes to get the answer. You are not a leader unless you are
eagerly looking into the future to see a better tomorrow and do everything
today to move there.
What are you looking
ahead to? What are you anticipating? What is your driving force? What cause are
you leaving for?
David said in 1 Samuel
17:29 “Is there not a cause?” (Am I not just asking a question?). He conquered
because he questioned, wise questioning brings great conquering. The quality of
your life depends on the quality of the questions you ask. Michael Hyatt said
“Leadership is less about having the right answers and more about having the
right questions.”
Influencers ask
questions that have the following characteristics:
1.
God-glorifying
2.
Others-centered
3.
Potential-tapping
Somebody is asking, why
are Nigerians jobless? Why can’t I, not the government provide a million jobs
to Nigerians in the next ten years? Ask questions that will make you depend on
God, which will benefit millions of people and cause them to glorify God. Ask
questions that will stretch your abilities and that of others around you,
questions that will tap dormant capabilities or potentials. One right question
that is acted upon can release the grace of everyone around you as a leader.
David asked one question, acted on it and destroyed the intimidation that has
destroyed the strength of all Israelites. Moses also must have raised questions
on the possibilities of ending the slavery of his people. What question are you
asking? What answer are you seeking?
Influencers don’t live
for ease, they live for a cause. They bear a “burden” in their heart in order
to be a blessing. What problem are trying to solve? Very few people are problem
solvers, many are problem themselves waiting to be solved by someone else. For
example, a graduate who is jobless and is not thinking is a problem waiting to
be solved, while a graduate who start a business, empower fellow jobless
graduate and even employ one or two persons is helping to solve a problem.
What problem are you
trying to solve? You can solve the problem of ignorance by providing knowledge
as I am trying to do. You can solve the problem of shelter, transportation,
feeding, refuse disposal, even management and many more.
How to ask good
questions;
1.
Be prayerful, it will activate your
prophetic intelligence
2.
Be studious, become intelligent through
study
3.
Be curious
4.
Have a thinking time
5.
Don’t settle for assumptions, don’t
assume you know. In fact, challenge what you know
6.
Don’t ask Yes or No questions
Even when there is no
problem, you can ask questions to see if what you have can be better.
Real leaders ask
questions and seek answers.
You will not live a
wasted life in Jesus name.
You will not be a
problem waiting to be solved, but a problem-solver in Jesus name.
Every confusion in your
life is cleared in Jesus name.
You will not disappoint
destinies hanging on your leadership in Jesus name.
God bless you.
Amen. Thank you sir,more anointing.
