SIDE VIEW MIRRORS

It’s weekend again! The part of the week that we all look forward to, for rest, socials and so on. Hope you had a fruitful week. 

Last week, we discussed about The Rear View Mirror. The Word of God coming to us from seemingly small things is never coincidence. God is using all of these things (no matter how absurd they might look) to teach us valuable lessons. Use it well.

Today, I’ll be talking about the Side view Mirrors. Every normal car has two of them and their function is to help the driver to see what is coming behind in order to help him avoid any impending danger as he or she navigate the road (most especially Nigerian roads, where one will be looking for the road on the road). When the driver need to join traffic or link a road, park or pull over, turn right or left, overtake or take any decision, the side view mirrors become critical. These mirrors can be adjusted to a suitable angles while driving just to ensure the driver can use them without stress. As important as these mirrors are, some cars do not have them and many that have do not use them, thus leading to so many crashes on the road. Knowing that bike riders overtake on both sides makes using the mirrors more important for a driver of any car. Can I say to you, PLEASE NEVER MAKE A TURN WITHOUT LOOKING AT YOUR SIDE VIEW MIRROR.

THE MORALE

Decision making and choosing direction to go in life are critical daily activities of human life. NEVER MAKE ANY CRITICAL DECISION WITHOUT GODLY CONSULTATIONS. The Bible says that there is safety in the presence of many good counsels (Proverbs 11:14). 
Every choice you make has consequences and somehow the consequences are automatic. Once you choose a direction, you automatically choose the destination too. Every turn you make in life will turn out in a way. 

Side view mirrors, like the rear view mirror, show what is behind. So, your own life side view mirror constitute all the experience of your past that you can learn from and that of everyone around you. All the lessons, rebuke, warning and corrections are side view mirrors. They are to help you avoid future or impending dangers. 

IF YOU WANT YOUR MOVES IN LIFE TO TURN OUT WELL, ALWAYS TURN ASIDE to God, His Word, Holy Spirit and also to God-ordained authority figures (parents, teachers, mentor, pastors, counselors, elders and so on) in your life for proper consultation before making any moves to the right or left. Even your own mistakes in the past can serve as great cautions for your future moves.
My people have a proverb that “what an adult can see while sitting down, a child cannot see it even if he climbs the tallest tree”. 

All of the trouble in our lives, around us and even in the world are there because we have all neglected the Side view Mirrors that God has placed in our lives at one point or the other.
